Welcome to our Holiday Apartment in Topsham.

We are pleased to offer this idyllic getaway, a newly refurbished 2 bedroom apartment (sleeps 4) situated on the River Exe in the historic Devon town of Topsham. Voted by “The Times” in 2014 as “the third best place for a weekend getaway in Britain”, Topsham is incredibly appealing with many interests and attractions nearby.

The River Exe Apartment 

This is an attractive apartment to suit all your needs whether you are visiting the area for work or pleasure.

With views of the Topsham High Street this period apartment is beautifully decorated with a modern finish and is only a minutes’ walk from the attractive Topsham quay side.  The apartment has central heating and is fully furnished for a serviced holiday letting.  The newly fitted kitchen/dining room is open plan with a microwave, gas oven and hob, fridge and washing machine etc.  The Lounge has a large flat screen TV, DVD player, period fireplace and original wooden floors. There is a comfortable sofa and two armchairs.  The bathroom is has been refurbished  and modernised but still has the period fireplace.  There is a full size bath, dual power shower over, WC and wash hand basin. Bedroom one is a large bedroom with a king size bed.
Bedroom two has 2 twin beds.
All linen, pillows, duvets and towels are provided.  Travel cot & stair gate provided. We also have a side guard for a single bed for small children.

Topsham itself has much to offer, great restaurants and pubs, local Saturday town market, outdoor swimming pool open 7 months of the year, bowling green, parks, local boutiques and shops, boating, excellent cycle paths and walks as well as its renowned antiques.

Local attractions include fishing, canoeing, golf, horse riding, walking, bird watching (RSPB reserve 10 mins walk) plus it is near to great beaches, Dartmoor and popular tourist attractions etc

Boating and fishing enthusiasts have quick access by water to Exmouth and Dawlish and on out to sea for all the delights of the Devon coastline.

The cathedral city of Exeter (accessible by road, rail & bus) is just a few minutes away and offers fabulous shopping, architecture, waterside bars & restaurants.

Train enthusiasts will enjoy the surrounding areas with a station just a few minutes walk from the house, with hourly service to Exeter, Exmouth & links to the rest of the coast line, countryside & rest of U.K..

Artists will be in their element with the wonderful combination of village, estuary, country or wildlife all within easy reach.

Bird watching fans are very well catered for, with the internationally renowned RSPB Bowling Green Marsh reserve just 15 minutes walk from the apartment.

Golfers will enjoy the numerous superb facilities of the many golf courses within a 20-mile radius. Exeter Golf and Country Club & Woodbury Golf Club are only a few minutes drive away.

The two clubs above also boast great leisure facilities & there is a David Lloyd Club outside Topsham.

Walk (about 10mins) to the Bridge Inn, one of the oldest and most interesting Pubs in the country or on to Darts Farm for pick your own, best fish (fresh or cooked) anywhere, great specialist food shopping, outdoor clothing, cafe and much more.

Numerous other activities and the beaches at Dawlish, Exmouth, Budleigh Salterton, Sidmouth, Seaton & Beer can be found nearby for families to explore and enjoy.

There is also superb walking (Exmouth is the gateway to the Jurassic Coast), biking or horse riding country close by (the Haldon Hills and Dartmoor National Park) or just enjoy the charms of the house and the town! Parking and Transport
The rail station is a 3 minute walk away from the apartment where you can take a short train ride The cathedral city of Exeter (11 mins) or go to pretty Lympstone 5mins or Exmouth 12 mins with its fabulous beach for the day.

Parking is on street and there are several car parks in topsham itself.

Directions

BY CAR

Topsham is signposted from the M5 Motorway Junction 30.

You can turn first left off the motorway roundabout signposted Sidmouth, Exmouth A376.  Turn right at the next signposted Exmouth and follow the dual carriageway until there is a right turn into Topsham at the George & Dragon pub.  This will take you past Darts Farm on your right. Continue along to the mini roundabout and take a left into Topsham on Station Rd over the Railway crossing. At the bottom of Station Rd you will see the apartment above Topsham Wines on the corner of the High Street.

BY TRAIN

Walk down Station Rd to Topsham High St and you will see the apartment above Topsham Wines diagonally to your right on the mini roundabout.
